• to inform congregations of the church's partnership in world mission and to encourage local to local links
• to encourage prayer for the mission and missionaries of the church throughout the world
• to deal with issues of inter-faith dialogue and to promote and support local initiatives of inter-church activity
• to deal with all ecumenical issues.
